> Founded on 15 September 1960 as the Lagos Stock Exchange and renamed the Nigerian Stock Exchange in December 1977, Nigeria's bourse demutualised on 10 March 2021 into NGX Group Plc, a holding company over the operating exchange, a regulator and a real-estate arm. As of 24 July 2026 it listed 146 companies with a market capitalisation of about ₦159.59 trillion.
